So today I will share that my church history, or the history of church in my life.
I am going to start with an abridged history. It was the preschool. The preschool brought me to my current church home. I began going with Sara occasionally because something drove me to connect her to the church. Pregnant with the twins and working in Charlotte, I didn’t show up consistenly as my priority was rest.
Once the twins arrived, I needed to fill my cup and church was great support. I had Bob stay at home with them for about the first year, with them being born premature by almost 8 weeks, I wanted to keep them well and let’s be honest…if they came and my husband came…I wouldn’t get much worshipping done.
Eventually Bob and the twins would come to church on Sundays. It was closer to when they were 8 months old.
No doubt they have been great to raise all around, but the infant/toddler stage requires a lot of attention and everything else is life is just a distraction when you have little ones but I began to lean on the moms that were now grandmothers to help me manage the blood drives I wanted to host and the church meals after church that would help me save time from preparing five people lunch.
The three kids, Bob and I got baptized on Easter Sunday 4/4/2010. Bob had been baptized I assume as a child but I guess he wanted a refresher. It was then that I truly began to ease into inviting God into my life.
